From a young age I have had a passion for the musical arts. I grew up playing instruments and learning about music. I have recently seen that when the school budgets get tight that music is one of the first classes to go. This is something that saddens me greatly because I want other children to have the opportunities that I have had with music. If I received $50,000 I would start a non-profit to give young children the chance to revel in the joys of learning how to play an instrument. I think that this is one of the best things that I could do with the money because this will provide lasting affects for the children and the people around them.

With music these children will be able to create something for themselves. I am a firm believer that one is not just playing music but they are also creating something new with their own artistic style. I believe teaching children how to play an instrument will have lasting effects, for them. Later in life, these children will have something that will set them apart from others and allow them to make new friends though their acquired musical language. This is one of the greatest ways that I could spend the $50,000. I would be able to participate in something that I love and pass on my knowledge of the art.
