Last weekend, I spent so much time outside in downtown Grand Rapids and my skin was feelin' it. The cold was causing my face to dry out and my skin to crack. So, in the hopes that my skin would stay healthy, I knew it was time to moisturize.
Fellas, this post is for you too, because let’s face it, (HA, Get it? FACE it?) peeling, cracking, dry skin is not cute. Moisturizers can get really expensive. So, what are we supposed to do? Go spend $60 on a travel sized moisturizer or spend $17 on a HUGE TUB of moisturizer?
My favorite tip/ hack for harsh winter conditions is to use coconut oil. You can purchase coconut oil in bulk to save even more money. I use coconut oil as a lotion, a face moisturizer, a lip balm, a hair conditioner and a cooking oil. Talk about bang for your buck, right? You can purchase coconut oil with or without the fragrance, so if you don’t like the smell of coconut, you don't have to worry about that. I actually gave this tip last year as well, check out the video I made about coconut oil.
What tips do you have to help skin stay moisturized during the harsh winter conditions?
