What I got for Christmas..a little more fun.

These, What I Got For Christmas videos are all over Youtube. Not gonna lie, most of those people got some really cool stuff. I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the things I got for Christmas and why they meant so much to me.

This year I asked for attachments for my power tool and a sewing machine. I was blessed with those and more! Power tools are a strange gift for a 23 year old, little lady like myself, but this year my creativity has flourished, I have made some time to do what I love, get artsy, and I figured power tools are a great thing to have that will last a long time. (If you follow me on Instagram you probably watched the video of my husband using my power sander to rub his neck...)

I took sewing classes as a little girl at JoAnn Fabrics and I was in textiles class in high school. I always had a desire to make things and create things and my wonderful parents encouraged my creativity by getting me a sewing machine when I was in middle school. Last year I gave that sewing machine away while de-cluttering for my big move to Michigan. That sewing machine had not been turned on for 2 years. It sat in my closet. So, I gave it away. This year I have had more time and more drive to be creative which has given me more confidence in my capability, so I decided I wanted a sewing machine again.

Around 2 in the morning on Christmas I opened up my new sewing machine that had a note on it from my husband that said, "I believe in your dreams, make something awesome." (That's what I remember it said, I don't have the note with me right now.) I opened it threaded it and tested it out. My husband was very impressed that I knew what I was doing.

I think the most rewarding thing that I got for Christmas was the warm hearted support from my husband to create. The reassurance of his faith in my crazy ideas.

Being the spokester for Michigan First Credit Union has pushed my creativity to its limit and back.  It has forced me to come up with content even when all I can think about is sleeping. It encourages me to try something new and don't trip if it doesn't work out. Being Young & Free has honestly given me a little more fun in life.

Follow me on this crazy adventure of being Young & Free, add me on social, become a member of the Credit Union and find your fun! Michigan First has an amazing account for Young Adults that give us a ton of perks.

Well, I guess I'm just full of all the feels and loads of words today, seeing that I wrote a long blog!

Keeping it Fresh, Young & Free,

Ebeth
