Three Things to Never Buy New

Just because something has already been used doesn’t mean it can’t be shiny and new to you!  There a lot of things you can buy used and still get use out of as if they’re brand new. So save yourself money and hit up some second hand stores!

For starters, you should never buy brand named clothes new. If you haven’t already watched Victoria’s Secret Exposed, I suggest you do! You can find really nice clothes for much cheaper than they would go brand new.  And it’s not as if anyone will know where you got your clothes; you can STILL keep your secret under wraps ;). You really don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks.

NEVER BUY A CAR NEW. According to Edmunds.com, a car will lose anywhere from 15% to 25% of its value each year for the first five years. And according to MSN money, “100,000 miles is merely the halfway point for a lot of vehicles. This means that JUST because a car has a few miles on it, doesn’t make it unreliable. So save yourself some money and buy a nice, used car. You’ll get to where you’ve got to go with MUCH more pocket change.

And finally, you should never buy art new. While shopping around Salvation Army, I saw a lot of awesome paintings that were selling around $10 a piece. This is AWESOME because brand new on Novica.com, paintings cost upward of $1,000. And believe me, those paintings are nice, but I found JUST as many nice paintings while walking around some local thrift stores.

Now go out there and save some money :)
