Recently, my husband and I were talking about how much we could use a real vacation. I mentioned how fun I think it would be to rent an RV and take a real road trip on a coast! We are really considering it. Then I thought, man that would be a great blog series as we get ready to jump into the summer! So, today I’m starting the Young & Free Michigan summer bucket list with 4 awesome spots to visit in Michigan. This post will focus on places in the Metro Detroit area to visit for the city lovers out there. We have about 13 Saturdays until the fall semester, let’s live a Young & Free life this summer and really experience our state in a way we haven't before.
Let's start checking off some of these spots off of our summer bucket list! (I linked the location websites below for you to learn more about them as well.)
- The Detroit institute of Arts- Visit the DIA and you will experience culture, and of coarse beautiful history and art!
- Eastern Market (Flower day) - Check out the Eastern Market for organic, local fresh beauty, where you can buy yummy food or just hand out and take some awesome pictures.
- The Belt Alley in Downtown Detroit- This article describes the Belt Alley as shops, galleries, food, drinks and an overall cool spot to hang out.
- The Motown Museum- Experience history, step back in time to really appreciate what Motown music has done for both Detroit and the music industry.
In the next Summer Bucket List blog post, I will go further into nature and share some amazing spots you have got to visit this summer, plus these are great opportunities to get some incredible Instagram pics #youngFreeMI !
