The Launch of 2014 Scholarship Scholarship Competition!

Lets face it: college is REALLY expensive. Yet going to school and continuing our education is an important step a lot of us young adults to decide to take. Michigan First Credit Union has a deep foundation in education, and wants to help us achieve our dreams, take that next step and continue on our life journeys.

So this year, Michigan First is giving up to $85,000 in scholarship money to well deserving high school seniors and college students. You'll be eligible to win $10,000, $5,000 or $3,000 in one of three categories.

In order to enter, follow these three steps:

  1. Read the rules.
  2. Complete the application form.
  3. Answer  the question “What event or person (other than parents) has made the most significant impact in your life? How has that changed you and how will you use this going forward in life?”

High school students can answer this question by writing an essay or submitting a short, 60 second video. College students can also enter by submitting a video. We want to hear about what's impacted you and your life. This is your chance to reflect and share your story!

You can enter and read the official rules here!

You have until noon, February 10th to enter. Once we have received all the applicants, there will be a public vote. The top 10 entries in each category will then be reviewed by the Michigan First judging panel, and the winners will be announced the week of March 3rd!

Life is a journey. We want to hear your story and help you continue on your journey. Let us know who are what has made the most serious impact in your life, and you can win up to $10,000! Email me at YoungFreeMichigan@Gmail.com if you have ANY questions!

Good luck everyone! :)
