This past weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing Hunger Games: Catching Fire. As everyone knows (I’m pretty sure,) there has been A LOT of hype about this movie. Even I have been aching to see it ever since I finished watching the last Hunger Games. I am now here to tell you that IT WAS AWESOME. I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE SECOND my eyes were on that screen while the movie played.
There’s so much I wish I could share about this movie, but I don’t want to steal anyone’s first time enjoyment. This shall not be a spoiler. Instead, I would like to share with you two things:
This movie is DEFINITELY worth seeing.
The movie will keep you pulled in the entire time. If you haven’t seen the first Hunger Games yet, I suggest you watch it BEFORE you see the second Hunger Games. There is a lot of action, the story line is easy to follow; there is love, heartbreak, hope, action, crazy-Capitol-people-outfits, opportunity, and just tons of pure awesomeness.
How to save money when you go…
In case you don’t know this, I love saving money… especially when I go to the movies. I am by no means someone who enjoys paying $10.00 for a popcorn and pop. And of course, this probably has something to do with the way my parents raised me. Anyways, this is typically what my date and I will do when we go to the movies:
- Sneak in snacks like: candy, chips, popcorn from home, and pop.
- Sneak in Taco Bell…. We literally go in smelling like tacos.
- Save old popcorn bags/pops we've gotten at the movies before, using the free refill the second time.
- Use our student IDs.
Now I am not one for... condoning sneaky behavior, but I'm just letting you know what I do in case you, for whatever reason, decide to try it ;).
