The Gift That Keeps On Giving...

One day, you will bust through the door, dancing and shouting because you met your savings goal and are out of debt!

It's true, you know You can get out of debt and build a savings account!

Today I specifically want to talk about Savings Accounts. Savings Accounts are extremely important! I got to admit, starting to save money is not all fun and games, but you can make it into a challenge for yourself. You can make saving money more enjoyable by setting a goal and tracking your growth! Or maybe by downloading some really awesome apps that help you get discounts and coupons, or help you meal plan!

I understand that is December, which is one of the hardest times to save money, but I challenge you to put some money into your savings account this month! (I suggest a saving minimum of $1 a day to start! Then next month double that, ect...)

Having a steady source of income is such a blessing, but we have to think about our future. YOLO only works for the moment, but when the money runs out you'll be more like OH NO.

I recently came to the realization that I have way too many clothes, and I would rather have more space, and more money than I have clothes. Maybe you should reevaluate your life, and what you have excess of. Get creative and don't be afraid to get rid of somethings, (maybe sell some stuff) to help build a savings account!

If you don't have a savings account yet, you should check out the First Gear checking and Savings at Michigan First! There is no monthly fees!!

Give yourself a gift this year and develop a habit of saving! Don't spend all of your money! Saving a dollar a day is a great place to start, but don't be afraid to challenge yourself to save more! You got this!

Keeping it Fresh, Young & Free,
