Thanksgiving Day Games!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are enjoying time with friends and family and if you have to work tonight, remember the craziness of Black Friday lasts for a while, but when your shift is over, you can go home and go back to bed! And remember Michigan First Branches are closed today, but you can still call 365 Live if you any any concerns or questions!

Today I wanted to share some fun games you can play with your family that I found online.

Rip It Up. The game is to tear a sheet of construction paper into a turkey shape. The challenge is to do so while holding the piece of construction paper behind your back and with a time limit — a minute is usually a good amount. Before you start, choose someone to be the judge, and the winner is the person with the most recognizable shape.

Blowing Leaves. Split your guests into teams for this relay race. Each team needs to blow a leaf from one point to another with a straw. Play until everyone has a turn. The first team to finish wins. (But we could change this to Blowing Snow and use some snow blowers! )

Then there’s always the classic family favorite games like Apples to Apples, Dominos, Rummikub and Monopoly.

But my favorite game is a new twist on a corn toss called Stuff the Turkey. This would be fun and easy to make with family members and the little ones will love to play!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have a great time with your friends and family today.
