As we all know, Father’s Day is coming up. As in, it’s THIS SUNDAY! Don’t worry – if you haven’t got your dad something yet, there’s still time. There are tons of things you can do for Dad without breaking the bank.
One fun and affordable Father’s Day present is making your father breakfast! It’s easy, free (if you already have the groceries at home,) and it's extremely thoughtful. I don’t know how your dads are, but mine LOVES food; so honestly, there’s no way to go wrong with breakfast. You can make something as simple as pancakes from box mix or even something that requires a little more time like quiche.
Another thing you can do for Dad is to make him a CD! Compile a list of his favorite songs and get burning. I know my dad doesn’t have an MP3 player and really isn’t technology advanced… But he loves his music. And he knows how to put a CD in his car radio. If your father could use some tuneage as well, I really suggest you do this.
Finally, if you live with your parents or even if you don’t, your father might really appreciate it if you cleaned up the house. This doesn’t cost you anything but time and a little bit of physical effort, and it will mean A LOT to your dad, especially if he’s typically the one cleaning. On Father’s Day, I’m sure your Dad would really like the break from bending over backward doing chores.
If you don’t like any of these ideas, that’s okay too. You can even do something as easy as making your Dad a card. A heartfelt card. That’s nicely colored. (I almost ALWAYS do that for Father’s Day.)
I hope these affordable tips help ease your mind a little and prevent you from waking up Sunday morning thinking, “WHAT CAN I GET DAD THIS YEAR?!”
