Hello candy eaters and sugar lovers, if you were a little too old for trick-or-treating this year like I was, and if you (or your parents) passed out every last piece of candy to the kids in costume, do not fear; you’ll still be able to get your sugar fix for cheap.

Once Halloween is over, stores are ready to clear out their shelves and slash their Halloween candy prices. As in – it’s half price. While now is the time to buy candy, wait a little longer if you want it for even CHEAPER. The longer you wait, the bigger the discount you will receive. BUT be aware: if you wait too long, all of the candy will be gone before you even have a chance to buy it. And if there is candy left after you have waited TOO long, chances are, it won’t be the candy you like. If it is the candy you like, you probably don’t like the most popular candies ;).

But seriously, even if you have candy left over from Halloween, if you KNOW you’re going to want candy within the next few months, and you know the candy you have now won’t last you that long, BULK UP. Candy takes a while to go bad, and buying it for cheap now will save you in the long run.

If you’re not a candy eater, but you have some stockings to stuff for the holidays, now is ALSO the time to start bulking up on clearance candy.  Christmas candy will be expensive when it’s time for the Christmas season. But if you buy now, it will be anywhere from 50% to 75% off. PLUS not all of the candy on clearance is “Halloween themed.” There’s a lot of Halloween candy on clearance that is holiday neutral.

Until next time,
