Music Monday: Switchfoot

Switchfoot is a popular, indie rock band. They have written and performed A LOT of inspiring music, winning people over with their rocking beats. They currently have four members: Jon Foreman, the lead singer and guitarist, Tim Foreman, the back vocals and bass guitarist, Chad Butler, percussion, and Drew Shirley, also singing the back vocals and playing guitar. Switchfoot first became well known when their music was played in the hit movie A Walk to Remember.

Switchfoot has won a grammy award for the best Rock or Rap Gospel Album, 11 GMA Dove Awards, and 12 San Diego Music Awards. The band also takes part of a lot of outreach organizations, including Invisible Children, To Write Love on Her Arms, and the One Campaign.

Dare You to Move  has been one of my biggest inspirations in the realm of music, simply because it has pushed me to get up and keep going during my life. I sang it to myself a lot during high school cross country races when I felt like quitting. This is why I decided to share this song with you today, as well as this band. Hopefully this song can help you as much as it has helped and encouraged me in my life :).
