Music Monday: One Headlight

I know a typical Music Monday consists of me giving you the rundown on a band, but today's Music Monday is going to be just a LITTLE bit different. Instead of ranting and raving about a band like I normally do, I want to simply share an awesome song, and give you some information about the band (as of course, they're an awesome band and  they deserve at least a little bit of recognition for creating an awesome song.)

Today, I'd like to share with you:

One Headlight by The Wallflowers

Come on, try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than in the middle

This has been my favorite song for longer than I can remember. To me, this song encourages us to keep going even if it's hard. Not to mention, it has a kicking beat and some pretty decent rhythmic guitar. And the singer's voice is awesome... Okay, there's probably a TON of reasons why this song rocks. But needless to say, it does rock, so take a listen.

As every good song has to come from a good artist or band, I of course have to share who created this masterpiece. The Wallflowers are from Los Angeles, California. I'd describe them as a rock band with a twist.  They've gone through a good amount of band members, eight to be exact. Currently, they only have two members: Jakob Dylan, the frontman, and Stuart Mathis, the guitarist.  They currently have six studio albums out. One Headlight, the song above, won a Grammy award for Best Rock Song, and the band itself one two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group.

Needless to say, the band is awesome, and this song I've shared with you is SO encouraging, as well as my favorite song ever. So check it out!

Stay musical,

Vicky :)
