Mother's day is right around the corner and it's important that we celebrate our moms, grandmas, and maybe even aunties in our lives. These ladies loved us, nurtured us and taught us a lot about life, and if your mom is anything like mine, she is strong and courageous!
This year I have two moms to shower with love and gifts. My mom, who lives in Louisiana and my wonderful mother-in-law, who lives in Oak Park! It was very important for me and my husband to give them some gifts that are not cheap and thoughtless, but at the same time, we had a budget to stick to!
I asked on Facebook if you had any great budget friendly gifts for Mother's Day and some people said, cook mom a wonderful meal and spend the day with her, another said, make your own bouquet of flowers for mom!
Those are both great ideas, but what if you are like me and can't spend the day with mom, or cook breakfast for your mother-in-law, and what if mom doesn't like flowers?
I was inspired to hunt for the perfect mothers day gifts at Kohl's and I got three great, budget friendly ideas!
1. A picture frame with a picture of you and mom! I think this would be a great gift! I would fill a few frames with pics of my mom's at my wedding! Kohl's had a ton of frames and they were all on sale!
2. What mom doesn't love a good smelling home? I think these would be a great alternative to flowers! Something that can last a long time and keep the home smelling fresh! And they were on sale!
3. Jewelry! You don't have to buy mom some, "chepo" costume jewelry, you can get some nice, sterling silver jewelry for a great deal! These necklaces were originally $100! But were on sale for $40! That is definitely reasonable and something mom will love to wear everyday!
What great ideas do you have for Mother's Day gifts on a budget? Let me know!
