Millennials Should Try This Genius Money-Saving App

Are you bad at saving? Or maybe you feel like you don’t make enough money to save? Truth is, you don’t need to have a lot to save a lot; but, you do need plenty of discipline. So if that’s what you’re lacking, there’s an app that will become your saving’s grace.

Digit. It’s free. Here’s how it works:

1) Download the app and connect your checking account.

It’s super secure, and they don’t save any of your banking information. Digit will then analyze your finances through some weird, secret algorithm that tracks your income and spending habits.

2) It saves a little here, and a little there.

From the algorithm, they decide on small amounts to safely set aside (and you will barely notice). A dollar here, $3 there… a series of random transfers every two to three days that you can afford not to spend, of course. And don’t worry about overdrafting your account – they won’t take out more than you can bear.

3) Access your money whenever you need it!

Your stash won’t be inside of some inaccessible secret vault. According to Digit, the money is transferred to a separate savings account in one of their partnering banks, like Wells Fargo. However, you can manually set it to transfer into your own established savings account.

4) No fees. Unlimited transfers. No minimums. Text updates. Pretty epic.

Another cool thing about Digit is that it will send you text alerts, updating you on your total savings! I just downloaded the app, and will be trying it out over the next few weeks. Let me know if you’d like to see an app review video!
