Michigan First Mobile Banking

Michigan First Mobile Banking is awesome for A LOT of different reasons. For starters, you get to bank where you want to. With mobile banking, you rarely EVER have to come into a branch to actually do your banking. You can be out shopping while you transfer money. You can deposit a check from home while sitting in your pajamas.

I mean…you can literally do a whole slew of things right off of your smartphone, like:

View your transactions

This comes in handy when you’re trying to remember where your money “went so fast.” OR if you think something fishy is going on with your account, you can see if there are purchases on your account that YOU actually made. Keeping up with your transactions will help you avoid identity theft. (link to: http://www.youngfreemichigan.com/blog/living-young-free-show-090-identity-theft)

Locate branches/in-network ATM’s

If you want to stop at one of the 1,6000 CO-OP in-network ATMs in Michigan or want to use one of the nearly 30,000 CO-OP ATMs nationwide, you can use Michigan First Mobile Banking to locate and use these ATMs for NO surcharge! You can also find a Michigan First Credit Union branch so you can say “hello” to our smiling faces.

Deposit checks from ANYWHERE with Mobile Deposit*

All you have to do is take a picture of the check with your smartphone. THAT’S IT. So whether it’s extremely hot or extremely cold outside (hey – we do live in Michigan), you don’t have to leave your house to deposit your checks. Talk about convenience! :)

Pay bills

It’s pretty cool that you don’t have to mail anything or use paper. Not only does that mean you don’t have to buy stamps, you also don’t need to use envelopes OR make your hand cramp by writing checks. Who would’ve thought paying bills could be so… simple?

Transfer funds

If you’re out and about shopping (this has happened to me a few times), and you don’t have enough money in your checking account, you can transfer money from your savings into your checking account and avoid fees. Plus, if you owe another member of Michigan First Credit Union money, you can literally just transfer it into their account.

Pay credit cards

This is new to mobile banking! You can simply use your phone for credit card payments! It’s no longer necessary to log onto your computer to make credit card payments.

Verify deposits and cleared checks

Make a payment to a loan

Balance your checkbook

(For that 21% of you, according to Statistic Brain, who still balance faithfully.)
