THE FORCE AWAKENS...my wallet

December 18th is the premier of Star Wars, The Force Awakens. This is a big deal and because of this, I guarantee you will find Star Wars products in basically any store you go to. No lie, even the grocery store has Star Wars themed products.

I grew up in a home with Star Wars fanatics and Star Trek fans. I might be disappointing some of you by telling you that it wasn’t until I was about 12 years old that I could honestly tell the two series apart. However, now I am proud to say that I love both Star Wars and Star Trek and I know the difference!

Although tickets a sold out for the December 18th premier, I’m sure I will make time and resources available to catch this long awaited film in theaters.

Today, I wanted to talk about Star Wars t-shirts, coffee mugs, hats, PEZ dispensers and all the other crazy paraphernalia. Do you find value in those items and how much money are you willing to spend on Star Wars products?

Although most of the products we get these days are poor quality and mass-produced, there might be some potential value in these action figures and other Star Wars paraphernalia down the road.

Check out this article of the 10 most valuable Star Wars action figures.  It's almost unbelievable that a toy could be worth so much money.

I will admit that I bought the Star Wars Covergirl mascara while I was a Target a few weeks ago and OMG, I LOVE IT! I’m not planning on making any big Star Wars purchases this year, but that’s not to say that you shouldn’t. Just make sure you make well informed purchase and never forget your financial goals as the manager of your money.

So the question is, how much money will you be spending on Star Wars products this year? What do you have you eye on?

Keeping it Fresh, Young & Free,
