After much anticipation, it is FINALLY Halloween! There is MUCH to love about this holiday other than the candy and fall colors. There are scary movies, costumes, and parties or celebrations. If you didn't make plans this year and have NO idea what you’ll be doing this Halloween, don’t worry about it. This is literally the first year that I won’t be trick-or-treating (I get it, I’m old…,) and therefore, I too had to think of things that I’ll be able to do this spooky evening. I've came up with a few last minute Halloween time actives that ANYONE can partake in, check it out below:
Have a spooky movie marathon!
A lot of T.V channels like ABC Family, AMC, BBC, FXM, Comedy and Momenta will be showing Halloween based movies ALL evening long. You can get an entire listing of what will be playing on the T.V. guide. Whether you watch the shows with friends and family or you watch alone – these movies will keep you entertained and will DEFINITELY put a little chill in your bones ;). If you end up watching an extremely scary movie and you are alone, please AT LEAST keep your cell phone next to you. Or email me at YoungFreeMichigan@Gmail.com – I’ll help you get through it.
Some people may tell you that you’re too old to trick-or-treat. Well, they may be right. But age is in the eye of the beholder, and honestly, how can you EVER be too old for free candy?! If you decide that you are too old for trick-or-treating and you really don’t feel like walking around in the cold, pass out candy instead! Not only will you be warm sitting inside, you’ll also be able to partake in the tradition of giving away candy and make some kids smile! :)
If any of your friends are getting together, stop by and join them! If you need a costume, look through your closet, put on something fancy and a pair of sunglasses; this look is known as the “rock star.” If you want MORE quick, easy and cheap costume ideas, just check out this website. If no one is having a get together, you can always invite people over OR go to a restaurant. A lot of different restaurants will be decorated in Halloween décor and will be having deals. This still gives you the chance to “go out” for Halloween on a budget. For a list of restaurants having Halloween specials, check out this website.
No matter what you decide to do this Halloween, make sure to have fun and stay safe!
