The weather is changing drastically which means cold and flu season is right around the corner. There are a few tricks you can use to help prevent yourself from getting sick this season.
1) Ginger Root
Ginger root is my go to when I have a cold or sore throat! It's less than 50 cents and is super soothing. It also kills rhinoviruses, which cause colds in the first place. Chop it up and put it in your favorite tea or eat it raw
2) Honey & Lemon
Honey alone is delicious but did you know it’s actually a natural cough syrup? Pair some organic honey with your favorite tea, and drop in a lemon. It’s a great recipe for immune support this fall.
If you haven’t heard of turmeric, it’s magical. It’s a spice that has been used in India for thousands of years. It contains curcumin, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
4) Orange Juice
Orange juice is like the staple for building immune systems. I recommend juicing oranges yourself or eating a whole orange to make sure you get all the vitamin goodness.
