Finally, the snow is melting and the sun is peaking through which means there’s hope for Spring after all. It also means those annoying, sneaky, car killers, also known as potholes, are back with a vengeance. We all know that Michigan faces some of the worst potholes known to man and we Michiganders are forced to go into battle every time we get on the road. If you have been a victim of “pothole season” there is a way to get reimbursed for your damages.
1) Take Photos of the Damage
Take photos of the damage to your car and the area that it took place.
2) Save the receipts from the car repairs.
Place your repair receipts in a safe place so that you can provide proof of repair.
3) Be specific in your report.
Tell the exact location, intersection and surrounding areas, so the pothole can be easily found by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
