Fancy Taste Buds- Tiny Budget

If you are a frequent reader of my Young & Free blogs, you’ll know I talk a lot about eating out less to save money. But, today I’m going to go a different route and talking about treating our taste buds and  getting the most bang for our buck. There are times in our lives when we should treat ourselves to a nice sit down meal, where we can dress up and celebrate one another and our awesome accomplishments, without spending $50 on a meal! So, I have put together a small list of some of my personal favorite restaurants where we can do just that. Enjoy!

  • Maggiano’s- I've attended many celebrations at Maggiano's. They have an awesome eat for two option on the menu, which gives you multiple courses and plenty of delicious options, while allowing you to save a few bucks. But my favorite feature of Maggiano’s is the buy a pasta, take one home option. That’s right. If I order from a select few pasta dishes, I get to pick another dish that they will make and box up for me to take home FOR FREE! Buy one get one free is always a great deal when it comes to food!

  • BucaDiBeppo- It’s a fun Italian restaurant that serves family style dishes. That means you and a few friends can split one meal and be totally satisfied! They have plenty of options and two locations in Michigan! You can also find coupons for BucaDiBepo in the mail, almost every week!

  • JAlexanders- If you want to go all out and celebrate a special occasion, check out one of my favorite restaurants, JAlexanders. Unless you are rolling in cash for this dinner, stay away from the steaks on the menu, but focus on their delicious burgers and salads! My two favorite dishes on the menu are the steak burger which is only $16 and the veggie burger which is the best veggie burger I have ever had and it’s a steal at $13. OH, and don’t forget to get the carrot cake for dessert! I'm obsessed with the carrot cake!

  • Kona Grill- Kona grill has something for everyone, sushi, sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes! But that’s not the best part, my favorite part about Kona Grill is their happy hour! During their happy hour you can score some tasty sushi plates and delicious appetizers for half price!

If we re-evaluate our eating habits and cook more at home, we can cater to our fancy taste buds a little more than we used to. Instead of spending $10 here and $15 there, we can really treat ourselves to a fine dining experience to celebrate our awesome self discipline and life accomplishments.

Do you know of any other great restaurants that should be on this list? Let me know!
