I'm sick. Again. I like to call it "re-sick." So I looked up tips on how NOT to get sick. Which doesn't really help me now. Since I'm already sick. But I thought I might be able to help you!
CNN had an article on the Secrets of Women Who Don't Get Sick. However, the tips apply to men as well. No discrimination here! Just HEALTH!
1) Get some fresh air!
Being inside might feel nice, but it also keeps you in the germ-breeding grounds. Studies show that those who got a brisk 30-40 minute walk outside per day are less likely to get sick than those who don't!
Relaxation helps reduce stress and keep those colds at bay. This can be REALLY difficult for some people, but try to budget time to unwind -- being sick makes a hectic life so much worse!
3) CLEAN THOSE HANDS.
Regular ol' soap and water is the best defense against spreading germs. Your mother/grandmother/teacher was right. In a pinch, hand sanitizer will work!
Science doesn't lie. Getting a good night's sleep consistently will help you fend off sickness -- it helps your immune system function properly. Plus, you just feel better!
So PLEASE, for the love of everything that is good, follow these steps and stay healthy! Believe me, it's really terrible being sick.
