Yo yo yiggity yo, Eastsiders. Are you bored? I'm bored. Do you have a lot of ca$h money you can spend on random stuff? I don't. So here's a solution: go to Metro Beach Metropark in Harrison Township.
The cool thing about Metro Beach? It's part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system, so you can buy an annual pass for a measly $25 bucks that grants you access to 13 Metroparks in the area.
But if you don't want to shell out 25 buckaroos, you can get a day pass for $5. At Metro Beach, you can hike/bike/skate along a 1-mile paved trail on the shoreline of Lake St. Clair. There's also pavilions with barbecues, beach volleyball, a par-3 golf course, Splash Zone, Olympic-sized swimming pool, and tons more.
If you own a boat, drop it in at Metro Beach - there are 3 marinas on Lake St. Clair! Metro Beach is a great spot for an impromptu picnic or a round of mini-golf.
So take a Daycation if you're short on cash -- if not to Metro, then to one of the other 12 Metroparks! Get your summer on while you still can, Michigan!
