Becoming a Morning Person

I woke up in the mornin' feelin' like P. Diddy.

Actually . . . that's a lie.  I'm not a morning person. So waking up this morning to travel to the Michigan First Headquarters for my first day on the job was a challenge. However, it's a challenge I'm willing to meet head-on, because I'm really pumped to start living Young & Free!

Last week, I met with Cheryl to learn all the basics of running the Young & Free social media machine-- from the blog to the Twitter feed to Facebook and beyond. It was a fun and relaxing day full of lots of coffee and information, and then afterward Cheryl and I headed to Greektown in Detroit for dinner with the Young & Free team from Michigan First.

This week, though, it's an entirely different kind of training! I've been briefed on the basic operations of Michigan First and given a crash course on HR policies, job expectations, and my schedule for the next few weeks.  I'll give you a hint -- I'll be VERY busy!

I also opened a First Gear Account with Michigan First today, and it was one of the easiest things I've ever done.  There will be a video detailing my experience soon, so you'll all be able to head on over to your nearest Michigan First branch and open up your own account. Because I'm about to start brainwashing you all with subliminal messages hidden in my blog posts. (Just kidding. Maybe.)

Since my schedule is going to be so crazy in the coming weeks, forgive me if my blog posts appear at weird hours of the day.  However, since I'm a typical social media junkie (and I have a nifty new phone to play with), head on over to our Facebook page and leave me a note! Just don't keep me up too late.

Stay awesome,
