Hey, Young & Free Michigan. As you all know, cooking is not my strongest gift, but I have been trying hard to improve it and feed my husband food he will actually enjoy. I found this amazing crock pot recipe and tried it out last month. It was great! One batch of the BBQ Beef fed both of us about 5 times.
All you need is;
- A slow cooker
- 1 packet of chili seasoning
- 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
- Some salt, pepper, and garlic (Optional)
- About 5 pounds of boneless beef chuck
Place the beef in the crock pot, add the entire packet of chili seasoning, some salt, pepper and garlic (for taste) and then pour BBQ sauce over the beef until it is covered. I used about ½ of a container. Then cook it on medium or auto for 8-10 hours!
When I got home from work my house smelled like I just walked into a Texas BBQ! The beef was shredded, it fell apart. I ate it on a flour tortilla with some slaw, jalapeño and a touch of sour cream! It was easy, delicious and a great way to avoid eating out.
