Life can be hard. Whether it be pushing through a sickness to getting out of bed in the morning, we all have struggles that life continues to hand to us. And to be honest, most of life struggles are only as hard and time consuming as we allow them to be. Don’t get me wrong – being sick isn’t a choice and it sure is a struggle, but it’s how you HANDLE being sick that matters. And things like waking up for work or having to talk to your mom don’t HAVE to be a struggle! Struggles can really be considered opportunities if we allow them to be!
A few days ago, a good friend of mine sent me a list of “27 things that will make your life easier,” by Erin Williams. The list had really good and encouraging advice to take in, and I’m sure it’d be just as encouraging for you too. This list really does urge possible struggle situations to become opportunities. Three of the most help tips, for me at least, were these:
- “Slow down. The minute you realize — as clichéd as it is — that life really is a journey and not a marathon, the better off you’ll be.
- Realize when it’s not working out and move on — apply that to whatever situation you wish.
- Don’t feel the need to fill gaps of silence with blathering comments. That makes you sound like an idiot.”
And as for those three tips, they’re just the tip of the iceburg. The list had a lot of other helpful hints as to how to make your life easier – so check it out here.
Until next time,
