One Day Left!

Wow! That escalated quickly. I feel like just yesterday I was creating the Spokester search advertisements. But, today is your last chance to vote for your favorite Spokester applicant! Tomorrow, at 3pm the voting will be closed and the announcement of the top ten will be live soon after that. (Probably by Friday.)

Two years ago, as the voting phase was coming to an end, I made a gutsy move and put in my two weeks notice at a job that I didn't enjoy. I had two new job opportunities and was confident that I would not be without work. One opportunity was a job with a major realty company that I recently interviewed with and quickly received an offer from. When I got the offer call from the realty company I was glad, but I didn't want to accept the position right away. I let them know that I was waiting to hear back from another employer. Of course, that employer was Michigan First Credit Union. I was at peace. I knew that the right thing would happen for me and I would succeed at whatever my next job would be.

When the official top ten was announced and my picture was on Young & Free’s page I was ecstatic for the group meet up. I didn't really know what to expect, but I committed to being myself and keeping a positive attitude.

Of course the group meet up was a funny and somewhat of an awkward situation because, let’s be real here, all of the hopeful Spokester applicants have been basically stalking each other on social media for the last few weeks. Then suddenly, you are thrown into a room together. It’s like you know everything about them, and they know everything about you, but none of you know what’s going to happen next.

The group meet up was such a fun experience that none of the Spokester applicants will ever forget. I still keep in touch with a few of the applicants that applied with me in 2014. Some of them have gone on to do great things, participate in the Young & Free giveaways and have been helpful resources and supportive subscribes while I was on my Young & Free journey.

So, please be yourself and do what you can to connect with each other as you continue in your journey to become the next Spokester. You never know where people will end up and how you might be able to help each other reach your goals and be successful.

Voting closes at 3pm tomorrow. Good luck!

Keeping it Fresh, Young & Free,

Ebeth
