Rodneya’s Situation

Hi! My name is Rodneya. I am currently working full-time and recently enrolled in school part-time. I love reading and writing. I graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Journalism. I have my own beauty blog and YouTube channel. I am currently trying to navigate this journey we call life and I can't wait to see what my next turn will be!

Have you ever been down to your last few dollars and your next paycheck is still a week away? You begin to worry and wonder how you can stretch those last dollars. I've been there before and I know that it's no fun. Here are some easy and quick ways to make some (legal) fast cash!

1. Sell Your Clothes!

You know that pink shirt hiding in the back of your closet that you haven't worn in months? Or that pair of jeans that just never seems to fit right? Sell them! You're not wearing them so there's no need to keep them. You can take your gently worn clothes to Plato's Closet (or a similar store) and sell them for cash that day! I've made as much as $20 in one trip selling my clothes. There are also apps where you can list clothes in your closet and people can buy them from you. That's always an option too!

2. Sell Your Old Games!

Do you have video games that are just collecting dust? Well turn those games into a profit! You can sell you games back to a gaming store and either get cash back or store credit. The more current the game the more you're likely to get back.

3. Go Old School With Manual Labor!

Break out your shovel or rake (depending on the season) and go door to door offering your services. I know most people think those jobs are for kids, but hey times are hard these days! You've gotta do what you've gotta do! Also, you could offer to mow lawns or clean pools.

4. Host A Garage Sale!

Ok, this last one might not be doable for everyone, but I'll offer another option soon. Garage sales are a quick way to make some money and get rid of any junk that you have. I don't know why, but people like to buy other peoples junk. I guess that whole 'One mans junk is another mans treasure' saying is true. Anyways, if the weather permits and you have the ability, a garage sale might be right for you. If a garage sale is not an option you could list items on craigslist or e-bay instead. Just make sure you are careful and safe if you choose that option.

Don't hate me! I know all of these have tips have you selling your stuff, but what better way to make some easy cash?! What do you think of these tips? Have you ever done any of these yourself? Let me know in the comments below!
