Are you spending wisely?
More. More. More. MORE!
We always want more, especially when it comes to money. We can never have enough because we’re always spending the money we've made on necessities, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't save!
Some people play the lottery to take the easy way out and become rich and famous. SPOILER: The money isn't unlimited, and the odds are far from ever being in your favor. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is 1 in 175,223,510. Pretty bad, right? It gets worse! The chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 258,890,850! That’s beyond crazy! Sorry for ruining that for you. So, instead of wasting even more money, here are a few tips on how to save money.
If you’re out of a job and need some money, apply anywhere that’s hiring! Full-time, part-time, heck, even any-time is better than no-time! Some money is better than no money. Once you have that job, open a savings account and deposit a set amount every paycheck that you won’t touch. Eventually after a while, you’ll have more money than you realize for what you’re saving for, or for an emergency! The amount can be anything you want, big or small. Remember, some money is better than no money.
Now let’s say you need to go shopping and need a few things. Instead of getting the name brand items, stick to the basics. More times than not, the name brand is more expensive just because of its name. Just because it’s cheaper doesn't mean it’s not good. Do anything you can to save a few bucks! Even when you want to grab a bite to eat with some friends, you should try to order from the dollar menu, or stick to the medium beverage instead of super-sizing it. A few bucks here and there adds up!
You can always save money without even thinking about it. Don’t buy the name brand items, stick to the dollar menu, put money aside from every paycheck, and stop playing the lottery! With all these tricks, I hope you can save a buck or two! :)
